Canada’s drone industry is growing with companies providing aerial operations for a wide variety of applications.
Drones are aircraft, so you must understand the rules you must follow to operate safely in airspace shared by larger aircraft.
If you plan to fly in controlled airspace, over bystanders or within 100 feet of bystanders then you are conducting Advanced Operations.
FNTI delivers a comprehensive 30 hour online course to prepare prospective pilots with the theoretical knowledge and skills to pass the Transport Canada Advanced Operations exam. This course covers critical topics such as air law, navigation, meteorology, and human factors.
Our instructors have both RPAS Advanced certificates and Commercial Aeroplane licences.

This course provides RPAS ground schooling only to prepare you for the exam and flight review. Learners will then have to complete the written exam on their own once ground schooling is complete. If successful, you can then proceed to the flight review.
RPAS reviewers are everywhere. Learners can do ground school with us and find their own reviewer based on their location.
If you choose to do the review with us, the cost will be $200 for the flight test.
*Learners will need their own drone for flight review. Drones are not provided as part of this course.
